Aissa M. Hernandez

My name is Aissa. I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley and now live in San Antonio, Texas with my husband, our new baby daughter, two dogs named Minnie & Molly, and two cats named Riley & Arthur. I graduated from Texas State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a Business Administration minor.

Currently, I am the Digital Strategy & Marketing Manager in the University of the Incarnate Word’s Enrollment Services department, where I am tasked with showcasing the UIW story in order to recruit prospective students for all academic levels and programs.

Most recently, I had the pleasure of being the Digital Content Specialist at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, freshening up the website and social media with the Garden’s latest happenings. In my prior role as the Resource and Communications Specialist at the Florida Literacy Coalition, I provided information to adults in Florida seeking adult education and literacy services. I also coordinated marketing to promote the state literacy hotline and the support services offered to community-based literacy organizations around the Sunshine State.

My early professional background has a heavy customer service emphasis, from traditional retail settings to the busiest theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort. In other words, I am attentive, flexible, and very patient.
